About the event
The South Plains Young Marines are hosting a 5K walk/run at Mackenzie Park in Lubbock, TX on October 15th, 2022 to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle and to commemorate Enrique "Kiki" Camerena and the sacrifice him and thousands of agents and officers make daily to make our world a safer place.

The Young Marines DDR (Drug Demand Reduction) Dash 5K is part of our national Red Ribbon Week efforts and living a healthy and drug-free lifestyle is one of the pillars of the Young Marine program. The Young Marines "Closing the Date on Drugs" initiative focuses our drug demand reduction efforts on raising awareness of common gateway drugs that are either in homes or neighborhoods.

If there are open race spots available, Day Of Registration will take place during this time and can be done at the Registration Table.

General public welcome
Opening Ceremony
The general public are welcome to attend the opening ceremony and see the racers off at the starting line.
Opening Ceremony will begin at 8:15 AM and complete at 8:45 AM.

Racers will start the race. Good luck! Vendor booths and After Party activities will be open to the public during this time.
